Sleeping on your side will help you resolve the problem of snoring. Sinus surgery Sinuses are the air chambers which are present on both the sides of the nose and between your eyes. Mucous secretion which helps to keep your throat and nose moist and healthy gets infected if the drainage canals of the sinuses get choked up. This usually happens because of a cold. It can be treated by antibiotic drugs and with medications such as nose drops. If that fails to provide a cure then an operation may be necessary. This is not normally a painful operation. The operation is performed by using micro instruments. The person is anaethesitized and the nose is examined using an operating telescope. The areas of blockage are located, and the polyps are removed. The most likely complications are bruising around the eye area, infection, CSF leak and bleeding. Jaw positioning Jaw positioning devices draw your tongue further away from the back of the throat. This consists of a splint which is worn at night on your mouth to hold your lower jawbone forward.
